Mentoring

Potential collaborations

I’m happy to mentor undergraduate research projects, and I have many ideas that would be suitable for undergraduates to work on. If you’re interested, please contact me directly!

Polymath Jr.

I was a mentor for the Polymath Jr. program for two years. The program aims to provide an REU experience for undergraduate students who typically do not have access to traditional residential REU programs, for instance, nontraditional and international students.

  • Summer 2022: I mentored students on topics relating to the geometry of Blaschke products. Our students presented their work at the 2023 Joint Mathematics Meeetings in Boston and their article was published in Computational Methods and Function Theory.
  • Summer 2023: I mentored students on topics relating to operators on function spaces. I focused on supporting students in our group who were located in Asia.

Guided Reading Program

In Spring 2024, I was a mentor for Brandeis’s Guided Reading Program. I advised two undergraduate students in learning about Clifford algebras, and they presented what they learned to their peers in May 2024.

Yau Tsinghua Mathcamp

I was a coach at the 2023 Yau Tsinghua Mathcamp in Sanya, China. I mentored advanced high school students from around the world as they learned introductory linear algebra.
